Kimmie, Doug, and baby girl (I'll leave her name out just for privacy purposes) were such a DREAM to work with!! The three of them traveled all the way to me at Lakehurst, New Jersey to do an indoor boho studio session with their three week old newborn. It was really special to the family to capture photos of baby in her coming home outfit so we paired it with my Sahara Rose client gown and I personally just love the result; the sparkles in the client gown added a majestic/dreamy vibe and I am so happy I was able to preserve the memory of baby wearing her coming home outfit.
Our goal was to capture the essence of motherhood with a serene and divine perspective while taking newborn photos; I really think we did just that! I believe every mama should have at least one photo in her back pocket that showcases her strength, beauty, and love all in one and I'm so stoked I was able to provide that for Kimmie.
We spent most of the session listening to the Lumineers and patiently waiting for baby girl to get bored enough with the scenery to fall asleep. She eventually caved to slumberland and we were able to capture like a million photos but we also scored some of the cutest ones when she was awake as well! Newborn sessions are always a beautiful treat for me; there's nothing quite like the peace we experience in the studio while we calm everything down for baby and then watch the parents interact with their newborn.
